Guardtime AS is a system engineering company, engaged in R&D in hash-based cryptography. Guardtime’s core technology – KSI blockchain technology – enables its customers to know and be able to forensically prove whether any part of their systems or stored electronic data and logs have been changed. Role: IBM is responsible for producing technical specification in order to define the industrial pilots implementation and realisation. Besides, IBM will develop smart contract interfaces for the Elderly Care use case with the necessary security toolsets and will design secure connectivity components according to the IBM Data Lake experience.

HOP ubiquitous

HOPU is a SME established in Spain. HOPU is focused on research and development of networks protocols, IoT management, IoT security and IoT solutions. HOPU is specialized in applying their IoT management, security and networking protocols over an IoT platform called Homard (https://homard.hopu.eu). Homard is being used and integrated for final customers by companies such as Fujitsu (RunMyProcess), FIWARE and Microsoft (Azure IoT Suite). HOPU promotes the integration of IoT as a key enabler of the digitization of production processes, with a special focus on easy to deploy (commissioning / bootstrapping), security and remote maintenance (device management).

Role: HOPU will contribute to Data Assets Monetisation based on Crypto-Currency, where it will implement the wallet for micro-payment based on the provided specifications. Besides, HopU will support the implementation of the i3-MARKET backplane and its operational components.


UNPARALLEL

UNPARALLEL is a Portuguese technological SME that develops digital technologies and provides consulting services on digitisation with a strong foundation in research. The company was founded in 2012 by two engineers/researchers and presently employs 14 individuals (12 men; 2 women). UNPARALLEL develops new products ranging from hardware devices, software/web solutions, or mobile applications, and provides high-value consulting services on technology development, strategic insights, market intelligence, etc. Main target markets include the Internet of Things, Industrial IoT, Smart Cities, Smart Water Management, SmartFactories/Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Mobile Apps.

Role: UNPARALLEL leads the state-of-the-art analysis and alignment with related projects in order to build a comprehensive analysis of platforms and Marketplaces.
