About the pilot

In the data world of the automotive sector, Atos maintains the AGORA data marketplace integrated into the i3-MARKET backplane.

AGORA brings data supply and demand together and provides the possibility of efficient matchmaking through an open and brand-independent platform.

It acts as a marketplace operator between original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Cross-sectorial Service Providers through a harmonised Common Vehicle Information Model (CVIM) that removes all brand-dependent data formats, thereby unlocking the potential of vehicle data.

The volume of data in AGORA amounts to around 4,000,000 data-packages indexed from bill of materials (BOMs) coming from at least three different manufacturers: Volkswagen, Renault and Fiat.

Benefits of i3-MARKET

Automation in generating metadata descriptions about the parts included in the extensive list of BOMs.

Expansion of marketplace’s functionality, increasing robustness, integrating security and privacy protection and improving scalability.

Advancement of smart contracting between parties involved in the data value chain (from vehicle’s owners to car manufacturers).

Results

With i3-MARKET’s implementation, AGORA has:

Increased by 20% in vehicle owners offering data to service providers.

Reduced by 10% the running vehicle time.

Increased by 30%  in the volume of data and contracts managed by owned marketplace.

The additional positive collateral effects?

Environmental protection

Efficient forecast and management of traffic jams

Pilots Environment

In the data world of the automotive sector, Atos provides the AGORA data-marketplace which will be integrated into the i3-MARKET backplane.

Use Cases

UC1. AGORA data-marketplace integration: integration of a fully operational marketplace with i3-Market ecosystem

UC2.  Fleet managers: making use of data for operational decision-making optimisation

UC3. Insurance Companies and Insurance brokers: Usage-based Insurance (UBI) foster market uptake

Industrial Data and Data Assets

The marketplace offers data from open data sources

The marketplace is offering its own data to be shared through a developed data connector that collects open data sets from open data portals and a developed translator to get the data in CIDM specification under which AGORA data-marketplace works. This translator is used by the data provision part of a demonstrator to push data from sources external to the marketplace, and by the marketplace to allow data consumption in other models.
